MISSION OF THE INTER-GENERATIONAL ENTERPRISE
Our mission is to create sustainable communities by bridging the gap between the generations through social enterprises and other initiatives which enable local residents to gain work experience to promote self empowernment and community ownership.
In order to create sustainable communities, we believe, residents must be educated and inspired to utilize their education to improve their community.
Our first strategy to accomplish our mission of “educating communities about sustainability and developing healthy economics in communities is to become a “friend” of the schools in that community.
Since every school and every community has unique characteristics and demographics, the “Friends of school” step enables us to evaluate and recommend strategies from our toolbox (SEE ABOVE) to improve the school and the community that surrounds it.
